Low Voltage System

The low voltage system of the race car consists of more than 25 printed circuit boards. The Engine Control Unit, the dashboard and the sensors compose together this system. This team designs a great amount of these parts and incorporates spatially all the necessary electric equipment to the racecar. Attempting to optimize the vehicle, the reduction of the cables used in the car is of great importance. Until today, this challenge is overcome with sensors in the car that are connected to the dashboard and transfer signals to the ECU via the well-known Controller Area Network. A few more of the team’s concerns are the sufficient transmission and receiving of signals, the workability and the sustainability of the system.
